Itinerary
Day 1: Santa Barbara to Cambria
Drive about two hours and 15 minutes from Santa Barbara to Cambria. Grab a bite to eat for lunch and walk around the small town. Enjoy your afternoon exploring the sites. Drive from Cambria to the Post Ranch Inn (about an hour and a half away). Spend your night relaxing at the iconic hotel. Relish in a glass of wine, a cup of tea, or take a dip in the infinity pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean below.
Day 2: Big Sur
Enjoy a full day in Big Sur. Take a hike, drive the cliffside road, or lounge at the hotel for the ultimate indulgent vacation. Spend one more night at the Post Ranch Inn.

Day 3: Carmel-by-the-Sea
Drive to Carmel-by-the-sea (or Carmel Valley, your choice). It is just a 45-minute drive to Carmel-by-the-Sea, and an hour to Carmel Valley. Wander through the town, wine taste, eat at Grasings for lunch (in Carmel-by-the-Sea) and dine at La Bicyclette for dinner. If you head inland to Carmel Valley we recommend resting your head at the Carmel Valley Ranch.
Day 4: Carmel to Pebble Beach
Drive under three and a half hours to Casa Palmero, a lovely property in Pebble Beach. Enjoy the day by the beach, golfing, or poolside with a refreshing cocktail. Have dinner at The Inn at Spanish Bay and spend your night at Casa Palmero.
Day 5: Heading Home
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and have the morning to sneak in a few more sites or hours of relaxation. After lunch drive back to Santa Barbara, this should only take about four and a half hours giving you plenty of time to settle back in.
