Las Alamandas

Hide yourself away along the Pacific Mexican CoastLine

Along the Costalegre Coast, nestled between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo lies Las Alamandas a serene eco estate. Las Alamandas has been written up countless times by many publications including the New York Times, was a Conde Nast Traveler Winner in 2018 and is known for its luxurious privacy.

The owner, French born Isabel Goldsmith-Patino, daughter of a Bolivian mother and British father created paradise for the lucky. With over 1,500 acres of unspoiled nature reserve, Las Alamandas brings luxury, pristine seclusion, remarkable landscapes and the flavors of the Mexican culture all together.

Our travel advisor and fixer of all travel emergencies Ron Meemanage, was invited to Las Alamandas for a private getaway. He and a few other select guests were able to experience the resort exclusively, and were personally taken care of by the owner Isabella. The guests were greeted with fresh coconuts and endless views down the coast. Every room at Las Alamandas is a villa completed with ocean views, and a lovely patio with a Jacuzzi. Of course, you can always upgrade to a suite and add a second Jacuzzi, so you won’t even have to step outside of your room for a dip.

Attention to detail is one of Isabel’s strong suits. She makes sure everything is perfect for her guests as well as creating a homely work environment for her staff. This vibrates through the atmosphere of the resort. Everyone is happy to be there and happy to greet you. I mean, who wouldn’t be? Living on a private nature preserve, with some of the best beaches in the world. Where you can lay out all day, surf when there is swell, snorkel, or kayak with the beautiful sea life along the reef.

The fortuitous group had the resort as their playground for the extended weekend. You can ATV or mountain bike through the property’s beautiful jungles. Ron (being his active self) opted for the mountain biking. This adventure was followed by a mouthwatering lunch of fresh caught seafood and a cool margarita to take the edge off. All of the produce at Las Alamandas is sourced from the property grounds and the seafood and meat is locally sourced.

Ron returned to our office raving about his trip. Perfection was an understatement. The hotel radiates colors showcasing the traditional style of the region while allowing guests to truly experience Mexico’s natural habitats. If you are looking for somewhere to unplug, have time to yourself or with your family and friends and connect with nature, Las Alamandas is the ideal destination.
