Virtuoso’s Best of the Best Awards recognize the top luxury hotels around the world for their outstanding hospitality, programs, design, sustainability, and overall excellence.

This year’s honor of ‘Hotel of the Year’ was awarded to the Adare Manor located in Limerick, Ireland. This property sprawls out on a massive 840 acres, and is adorned with 365 leaded windows, 52 ornate chimneys, 7 stone pillars, and 4 towers to mimic the annual tally of days, weeks, and seasons in a year.

The interior of this luxury hotel is designed on a grand scale. One of the most historic and renowned interior spaces is The Gallery, which is comprised of a 132-foot long, 26 1/2-foot high domain which was inspired by the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles, lined on either side with 17th Century Flemish choir stalls.

The rooms were created specifically with the comfort of the guest in mind. Each room is individually designed, incorporating classic Irish furnishings and historically-inspired artwork. With tradition still in tact, the Manor maintains modern comforts such as plush bedding, marble en-suite bathrooms and beautiful views from every window. You will feel as if you are a guest in the Dunraven’s own home circa the early 1800’s, with a fantastic goose down bed, of course.

As any ‘Hotel of the Year’ should, the Adare Manor offers an exquisite dining program.  With 5 dining outlets, the Manor satisfies any palate. Experience romantic luxury in The Oak Room, dining by candlelight with an exclusively curated tasting menu by Head Chef, Michael Tweedie, paired with lovely wine hand picked by Head Sommelier, Jurica Gojevic. Delight in pastries, confections and hand-cut sandwiches served with afternoon tea from around the world in The Gallery. If you prefer freshly brewed coffee, or a light glass of champagne before dinner perhaps The Drawing Room is where you will find yourself. If you crave something a little harder, wander over to The Tack Room where you will find world-class whiskey and a full cocktail list.
The Adare Manor offers a menu of activities for the entire family, including traditional Irish pastimes such as Falconry, Archery, a Gundog Experience, Game Shooting, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Fishing, Golf, Horseback Riding and more. The Manor may be off the beaten path and secluded, but you will never run out of exciting things to do here. | Book Here >>
