Lisa Luyties

Coming from an aviation family. I caught the travel bug early! I was fortunate to be able to go on many exciting adventures with my family, and when the time came to choose a career path, I knew I had to stay in the travel business!

I have been a travel agent since 1990 and I have had the opportunity to take on many roles over the course of my career. As a leisure agent, I booked everything from quick trips to Las Vegas and Palm Springs, to cruises, European adventures and African safaris.

My focus for the past decade or so has been on corporate travel. I enjoy the relationships I have built with my repeat clientele, many of whom are real road warriors! I get so much satisfaction from helping them balance their busy schedules, getting them to important meetings, and then home to even more important birthdays, school events and anniversaries on time! I also enjoy putting together groups and meetings and seeing everything fall into place.

In my career I have seen my industry face many challenges, 9-11, catastrophic weather events, economic downturns and now our current pandemic. I have always remained optimistic that this industry will survive! Travel keeps business flowing internationally, connects family and friends, offers adventure and romance, and reminds us that we are more the same than we are different. I am proud of my career, and proud to be a part of the Santa Barbara Travel team!
