Into America

Take a week to explore deeper into America.

Enjoy a new adventure while visiting national and state parks with unique landscapes, famous roadside highlights, historical sites, and any spontaneous detours you find along the way!

Itinerary

Day 1:

Drive from Santa Barbara to Las Vegas (this is about a five and a half-hour drive)

Stop along the way for roadside fruit, or take a detour into Mojave for a quick scenic drive.

Spend the night at the Four Seasons, on the strip but offering a relaxing evening away from the hustle and bustle of Vegas. If you feel like taking a stroll down the strip you still have that option as well!

Day 2:

Grab breakfast and head Northeast. About a 45-minute drive from Vegas is Valley of Fire State Park, one of the most stunning places you will come across. With every color of pink, purple, and orange wound into its formations you will never want to leave. Every few hundred feet or so the landscape changes offering new scenery and spots to explore.

When you’re ready to depart drive 2 hours to Zion National Park. Here we recommend that you stay at Under Canvas Zion, the perfect spot for glamping. Layout under the stars, listen to music and enjoy s’mores by the fire.

Day 3:

Enjoy the wonders of Zion. Take the whole day to explore the park and head back to Under Canvas when you’re ready to relax.

Day 4:

After a restful sleep have a bite to eat and drive to Moab, Utah (about 5 hours). Spend the night at Cali Cochitta Vacation Rentals or The Hyatt Place Moab.

Day 5:

Take the whole day to venture through Arches National Park, one of Utah’s most famous areas. Spend this night in Moab as well.

Day 6:

Spend your day to enjoying Canyonlands National Park on the other side of Moab. Spend your last night in Utah here.

Day 7:

Head south from Moab to Monument Valley (about 2.5 hours until you reach the valley). Roll your windows down, hop out for pictures and stop by John Wayne’s cabin. Drive a few more hours (about 3.5 hours) until you reach Sedona, Arizona. Take as many stops and detours as you want, this is the perfect “on the road” day. We would recommend staying at the L’Auberge de Sedona Resort & Spa, the Enchantment Resort, or the Amara Resort & Spa.

Day 8:

You can choose to extent your trip and take a day to hike through Sedona’s beautiful rock formations or head on home after your week-long journey. If you head home it will be about 9 hours of driving so we suggest an earlier start and switching off drivers. A few fun detours include Salvation Mountain by the Salton Sea (about 45 minutes out of the way), or Joshua Tree National Park, to give you the feeling of being in a Dr. Seuss book. Grab a few snacks in the desert and don’t forget to stop at the Cabazon Dinosaurs, one of California’s iconic road trip stops!
